Tufting looks uneven on the back
Possible causes:
- the cloth is not streched (it need to be tight like a drum)
- the pressure you apply is to low (Apply force, make sure your yarn guide is not touching the cloth)
- the distance from the canvas spring to the foot is to high (should be 6 or 7 mm, 8 if you use acrylic yarn.
Tufting looks uneven on the front
Possible causes:
- the distance from the canvas spring to the foot is to low
- you are applying inconsitent pressure
- the cloth is not stretched enough
My tufting gun is making holes in the cloth
Possible causes:
- The cloth is not streched (it need to be tight like a drum)
- The position of the foot is incorrect, it should be right below the needle hole (like almost touching the bottom of the needle hole) when the needle is in the highest position.
My yarn wont stay in the cloth
Possible causes:
- Your yarn is too thin, try to use thicker yarn or double the yarn
- Your needle doesnt reach far enough because yhe position of the foot is incorrect, it should be right below the needle hole (like almost touching the bottom of the needle hole) when the needle is in the highest position.
