How to change your tufting gun from cut to loop

If you purchased the cut and loop tufting gun, you can manually exchange the scissors for a loop pile head. All you need is some basic tools. it looks like a lot of steps but its really not that hard. See the image below and de corresponding list of actions. If you get holes in you tufting cloth or it tears from tufting, consider the following: Do you have good cloth? See blogpost on what makes a good tufting cloth. Do you apply enough pressure? Be sure to press hard enough against your cloth. The foot of your tufting gun should be leaning on the cloth.
