To start making your rugs this is a list of the necessities:
A tufting gun (https://tuftingshop.com/collections/tufting-guns)
- A sturdy tufting frame
- Tufting cloth (https://tuftingshop.com/collections/tufting-cloth)
- Yarn ( If you are producing floor rugs, where people walk and stand on, it is recommended to use rug wool https://tuftingshop.com/collections/yarn )
- When you finished the rug it needs to be glued (latex glue works best, sorry we dont sell this in our webshop) on the back, and cut out.
- After that you need to place Secondary backing ( can be found on the cloth page but you can also use felt) on the bottom of the rug.

Troubleshooting
This issue can be caused by multiple things:
1. the scissor is broken.
2. the scissor does not close
3. the scissor closes, but not at the right moment
To check, please put your tufting gun in the highest position to see the scissor come out. Do you see that the scissor is intact, but not cutting? Please refer to the manual to make the correct adjustment.
If the scissor is broken at the top, it needs to be replaced.
If it closes, but not at the right moment, please refer to the manual to see what the distances in between the parts need to be.
This can be caused by several issues.
Make sure you use suitable cloth and that it is stretched very tightly.
Apply pressure. The foot most touch the coth, always. Push harder then you think you need to. Move in the direction the foot curve is facing.
if this does not help, check your manual, if your foot is place to far at the front, the scissors cannot reach trough the cloth and will cut your fabric.

This relates to your yarn feeding system. Only the smallest tension causes your yarn to pull out. Make sure it is not on a ball, but in a cone or pull the yarn of the ball before tufting.
